Asian Elephant Teeth

Elephants usually have 26 teeth: the incisors, known as the tusks, 12 deciduous premolars, and 12 molars. Unlike most mammals, which grow baby teeth and then replace them with a single permanent set of adult teeth, elephants are polyphyodonts that have cycles of tooth rotation throughout their lives.

My name is Alex

When mummy and daddy left, I was a little sad and missed them for a while but I soon cheered up when grandma said we would go to see the elephants at Mae Taeng Elephant Park the following day. The next day we got up very early, for me anyway, and set off for the elephant park. I was very excited.
